### **Characteristics**
Hastelloy® G-35 is an upgraded version of G-30, offering **exceptional corrosion resistance** in wet-process phosphoric acid production environments used in fertilizer manufacturing. It **significantly outperforms G-30 and stainless steels** in such conditions. The alloy also resists **localized corrosion and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC)**.
Its **high chromium content** provides outstanding resistance to **nitric acid and nitric acid mixtures**, while the **elevated molybdenum content** ensures moderate resistance to **reducing acids**. Unlike other Ni-Cr-Mo alloys, Hastelloy® G-35 exhibits **excellent resistance to dealloying corrosion in hot caustic soda (NaOH) environments**.
### **Applications**
- Evaporators in wet-process phosphoric acid production
- Pickling equipment using **nitric acid/hydrofluoric acid mixtures**
- Caustic soda neutralization systems
- Chemical processing systems involving **nitric acid and chlorides**
